For this card I got to use one of my favorite Ink Road stamp sets again…Mug Life! I used it with the sassy coffee sentiment from Roadies Volume 1, they are a perfect pair. And of course I used a rainbow, because I can never get enough rainbows!
I started by stamping the travel mug from Mug Life onto bristol smooth paper using a waterproof ink. I stacked them on eachother, using a post it note to mask where they overlapped.
After completing the stamping I fussy cut the boarder, as well as three extra mugs to pop up on top when assembling the card. I colored the mugs using Arteza real brush pens and blended them with water.
To make my card base I started with a standard side folding A2 card. On the the right side I cut off an inch. (I saved the piece I cut off to use later.) To decorate the front I used a geometric embossing folder on a piece of grey paper. For the sentiment I white heat embossed the “effooc”sentiment from Roadies Volume 1 onto a strip of black cardstock.
I put glue on the left side of the coffee mug strip and glued it hanging off over the edge of the card base. I adhered the 3 mugs I cut separate on top using foam tape for dimension.
I took the strip I saved from cutting off of the card base and stamped it with grey stripes. I glued it to the inside of the card, so when its closed it shows behind the coffee mugs. I also added one more coffee mug I colored using the same colors as the outside of the card to finish off the inside!
