I am back again today showing off a card that I am particularly fond of. I have combined three of my favorite stamp sets and my favorite Die to create a Megazord of a card! So grab your cup of coffee, favorite crafting clothes, and get ready to craft with me!
Start by breaking out those Days-e Phrases, Bella flora, Snarks & Recreation and Lacey’s DIY Window dies your stamp sets. I recommend that you start with the hardest part of this card making process. Making a square with the florals from the Days-e phrases stamp set. I started by cutting out a 3.5 x 3.5v square to use as a guide line for the boarder stamps. Once you have your square, procede to color in the flowers on the boarder. Then you can cut out the image and carefully cut out the center using a ruler and craft knife. You can then set this aside for later use.
Once the main image is complete you can pick your favorite patterned paper to use as the inside frame of the image using your square Lacey die. After this you are able to pick out and color your favorite floral image from the Bella Floral stamp set. I would recommend that you use the inside frame to test the composition of the image, then cut the image to fit the inside frame.
After you have completed all of your images, you can construct your card base. I used a black card base layered with a white framing piece of card stock to create a hairline frame and completed it with a piece of patterned paper. As soon as you have constructed your card base you can begin to construct and attach your main image.
This next part of the card creation process can be tricky because it really depends on how you layer the card. Break out that giant roll of double sided foam tape and use it liberally! The Bella Florals will need a single layer of foam tape, the inner frame will need two layers of foam tape so that you keep that dimension. You can finish the main frame with a single layer of foam tape and add your embellishments. I have been loving these Flat Back Half Beads- Stephanie Onyx as embellishments lately. Now you can choose your sentiment, I chose one from the Snarks & Recreation set “I have no idea what I’m doing, but I know I’m doing it well”… I thought that the sentiment perfectly sums up this card!
