Happy February crafty friends. Today I am sharing a card using the Scranton, PA feat. Kindred Stamps.
Confession time. Prior to getting this stamp set, I had never watched The Office. Once this stamp arrived, I decided I should probably check out the show and since then I’ve watched a few episodes. Though not enough to really appreciate this stamp set. Though I just adore how this card turned out.
I started with a piece of Neenah Solar White Cardstock, which I eventually cut down to a standard A2 sized card front. With the stamps of Jim and Pam, I stamped these on the card stock using Gina K – Alagam ink. This ink is both waterproof and Copic marker friendly.
Next, I created masks for Jim and Pam so I could do some ink blending on the background. I also masked the “ground” they are standing on. With Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Salty Ocean, I created my sky. Then I masked the horizon line and using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn to create the ground.
Now for the magic, removing the masks to reveal the very white characters. I grabbed my Copic markers and did a Google search to start coloring Jim and Pam.
Here is a list of Copic Markers I used for each character. || JIM: Hair ( ); Skin (E00, E51, E53); Shirt (N0, N2); Tie (B24, B97, B99); Pants (W2, W4, W6); Shoes (C3, C5, C7) || PAM: Hair ( ); Skin (E00, E51, E52); Sweater (B24, B97, B99); Blouse (N0, N2); Skirt & Shoes (C3, C5, C7).
Once I completed the coloring, I stamped the heart from Ink Road Stamps – Modern Romance above their heads using Catherine Pooler Dye Ink in Rockin’ Red and embossing it with Brutus Monroe Icicles.
Finally, I added the sentiment “I Love You Most Days…” from Ink Road Stamps – Modern Romance set in Versafine Onyx ink and embossed it with Brutus Monroe’s Icicles embossing powder.
I then mounted this to a A2 sized card. I had so much fun making this card and exploring this stamp set. Thanks for joining me today and don’t forget to come back daily for awesome inspiration by the Ink Road Stamps Design Team.
