Hello, hello. Samantha Ziegenfuss here with a quick and easy encouragement card using the June Inked Girl stamp set: Megan. I love the Inked Girls because they are a lot like me; sweet, cute, but also sassy and snarky. We could all use a little encouragement from time to time and I think this would be a great card to send someone.
To begin I stamped, colored, and masked Megan and her plants. I placed a circle stencil over her and did some basic ink blending using Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides.
After removing the stencil and mask I fussy cut her out and matted her to black cardstock. Then I fussy cut that out. It really is a lot of cutting but the addition of the black cardstock gives her a lot of definition.
I used an embossing folder on a green cardstock panel and matted that to an A2 sized card base made from kraft. I like how the pattern of this embossing folder goes well with the overall theme of this card.
Finally I stamped my sentiment onto kraft strips, adhered them to the card, and added faux stitching around the ink blended circle with a white gel pen.
That’s all. Thank you for stopping by. Remember to use code COYKOI10 to save 10% off your next Ink Road Stamps order. Be sure to head on over to the Roadies Facebook group and share your own creations. We love seeing what you make.
Until next time,
