Today I’m combining lots of my favorite Ink Road stamps to create this 4-bar gatefold card with a belly band sentiment!
For a top folding 4-bar card I cut my cardstock to 9 3/4″ by 3 1/2″ and scored at 4 7/8″. On this card base I used the striped stamp from Between the Lines to create a background. I repeatedly stamped using versafine onyx black ink then clear heat embossed.
For the gate folding element I stamped the side of the flowers from Days_e Bouquet onto patterned paper. To make them more stable I used a sheet of strong double sided tape to adhere the patterned paper to the same heavyweight cardstock I used for the base.
I fussy cut the outside edge of the flowers, then scored the other side leaving a tab to adhere gatefolding flaps to the base.
Using the same strong double sided tape, I adhered the flaps to the back of the card base.
To keep the gatefold flaps closed, I made a belly band out of vellum. I white heat embossed my favorite sentiment from Compliments Volume 2 onto black cardstock, and glued it on top of the belly band.
Check out how this card opens! You slide the belly band off, then the gatefold flaps fold to the side and the top flips up.
To complete the inside of the card I stamped the small floral image from Days_e Phrases onto the top and bottom. I love how these flowers coordinate with the flowers from Days_e Bouquet that I used on the front of the card.
