Hello, hello. Samantha Ziegenfuss here with a fun twist on the Lucy-Happy Mail stamp set. You know the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by The Beatles? I thought that it would be fun to create a card that was based on the title of that song.
To begin I created a purple ink blended galaxy and mounted it to a white, A2 sized card. I surrounded my ink blended area with foam tape.
I stamped, colored, and fussy cut Lucy and some hearts from the stamp set. I wanted the hearts to go in front of her because I thought it looked a little odd for her to be holding mail while she floats off into space.
I cut a frame from white cardstock, embossed it using an embossing folder, added double sided tape to the back, and layered on a piece of acetate.
Next I took the gorgeous Flat Back Half Gems in Becca Ice and glued a few to my ink blended galaxy and filled the well created by the foam tape with more of them.
I added Lucy to the acetate on the frame and stamped one of the many beautiful sentiments from the Semicolon stamp set to pink cardstock using black ink. I trimmed it into a banner strip and centered it onto the bottom of the frame. I took the whole thing and adhered it atop my foam tape.
That’s it. Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to use code COYKOI10 to save 10% off of your next purchase from Ink Road Stamps.
I hope you have a wonderful day and that you never forget how important you are.
Until next time,
