Hello Roadies! I’m sharing a bright birthday card using Mari Party! I wanted to keep this card fairly simple so I picked two colors for my color palette. Let’s get started!
I started with white card stock cut at 4.25″ x 5.5″. I taped down a stencil onto my glass mat for some ink blending. I picked pink and purple for this card.
I started with the purple and kept it to the edges. Then went in with the pink in the centers.
I stamped the adorable row of presents from Mari Party onto white card stock to do some alcohol marker coloring. Be sure to use an ink that’s alcohol marker friendly to avoid smearing. I decided to do simple coloring, using different shades of pinks and purples on all the gifts. Once the coloring was all done, I fussy cut the row of gifts.
I heat embossed one of the Happy Birthday sentiments from Mari Party using some black sparkle embossing powder. I anchored the presents onto a piece of pattern paper and popped up the gifts using foam tape.
To finish off the card I added in a sprinkling of the large flat gems in Catherine Purple. I love this mix because it has different shades of purples and clear and also comes with different sizes. Thanks for stopping by, Roadies! I hope you liked the card and don’t forget you can always use LORENA10 on any Ink Road order! See ya next time! -Lorena
