Today we are kicking it off with Jessica!
Hello! I’m Jessica.
I’m a Mom, a DIY bride, event planner, and 9-5er. By day I’m an executive assistant and by night my crafty heart belongs to card making. I live in Toronto, Canada, with my soon-to-be husband and 6-year-old son. I’m so excited to travel down this Ink Road with all of you![/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid element_width=”6″ gap=”10″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1503105373389-925cd8ee-f1c2-9″ include=”1169,1170,1171,1168″][vc_column_text]My current craft space can best be described as “cozy.” City living means I’ve had to get creative with designating a little crafty corner I can call my own, and I would be lost without my Raskog cart. It’s loaded with my daily essentials for card making, planning, and addressing. I even have a spot for incoming happy mail so it gets labeled and, more importantly, used!
I discovered this whole new world of stamping a little over a year ago after innocently googling “DIY Wedding Invitations” and haven’t looked back (in fact, I’m still googling stuff). My early crafty projects had simple stamping and basic coloring with little dimension. I didn’t know it at the time but the amazing world of heat embossing and blending with alcohol markers was just around the corner.
My current style almost always incorporates heat embossing, embellishments, and lots of tiny details that bring the design together. I have so much more to learn and discover, and I can’t wait to see what’s next on this road!
