Have you grabbed the Mermaid Bundle yet?! Guys, I am obsessed with these stamp sets. And I knew they would be perfect for my beach travelers notebook.
I started by die cutting some waves for the bottom of my page. I love dimension and texture, so when working in my TN, I really try and find ways to create texture without making it overly chunky. (Although, I do love a chunky TN). I layered up three strips of waves on each page, and curled up the edges to give it some texture. I tucked my photo into the waves on the right.
I stamped a few of the mermaids and seaweed in black memento ink, then colored them in with Copics. My four year old was super helpful here, he picked out all the colors for their hair. Then I tucked the mermaids, seaweed and glitter hearts into the waves.
I decided to use the “Mermaid at Heart” stamp for my title. I stamped the title out, colored in “mermaid” and then fussy cut it out. Then I stamped just the word “at” on my TN page by masking off the other parts of the stamp. I used a glitter foam heart thicker for the heart.
Lastly, (although, maybe I should have done it first), I used the bubble stamp to add some color around my page. I added the Spiegelmom Scraps sequin mix to give some texture to my bubbles.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
