For today’s card I used the GDBEE.ART collab set, titled Reach for the Stars. I loved this beautiful image so much I didn’t want to cover any of it up with a sentiment, so I put it on the inside. The dimension of this card are 4in by 6in, so that it would fit the stamp perfectly.
I stamped GDBEE. ART Reach for the Stars onto bristol smooth paper using versafine onyx black and clear heat embossing on top. I colored her skintone using Arteza real brush markers. I painted the rest of the image using Finetech metallic watercolors from the rainbow color 12 set.
Onto my 4x6in card base I painted the edges with the same finetec color as the girl’s dress so it would coordinate.
Save those stamp set backings! They are made of a nice thick cardstock. Here I cut them to slightly smaller then my main panel, and stacked 3 pieces together so that the card would have dimension. This method is slightly slimmer than the craft foam I usually use and extra sturdy.
To complete the card I adhered the dimensional main image to the base. Look at that shine in the sun! I think metallic watercolors are perfect for this image.
For the inside of the card I used the same watercolors to paint little dots. I heat embossed the sentiment from Outdream Yourself onto silver cardstock and placed it on top of the painted dots. I think this sentiment goes perfectly with the image on the outside!
