It seems like our mini DT members have a special love for our recent BORK stamp set. It’s definitely a fun set for both little and no-so-little crafters so let’s take a look at what they created for us this week.
Johnathan “Fish” age 3 1/2:
No surprise that Fish went straight to the dogs, right? But this time he wasn’t super interested in doing the stamping, he just wanted me to do it. Which gave me an idea, stamping as coloring pages. So I stamped each of the dogs in whatever color Fish asked me to. Then Fish took his marker and colored them in. I fussy cut them and backed them with foam so he could glue them on a card base. He’s really into sequins at the moment (which he calls “sprinkles”) so I pulled out a sequin mix and let him add them to his card. Hopefully Alaska Grandma ends up loving this card as much as she loved his Easter card!
I’m not sure Fish is going to want to stamp anything but the dogs for awhile. He specifically asked if we could “stamp with the dogs” for this card. Anyway, I asked if he wanted to color the dogs or use ink pads, and he chose coloring. He did the stamping on these with assistance from Mom. And I specifically hid the purple marker before coloring (see his previous card to understand why). He’s really into rainbow colors so each of his dogs was colored in a color of the rainbow, and I was commissioned to color a few too. Then he demanded they be cut out and glued on a card so he could send this to Alaska Grandma. After gluing all the dogs down, he asked if we could add “sprinkles”. Always Fish, always.
Heath age 5:
The day we received the Bork set, Heath thought they were made especially for him! He created this card by stamping some of his favorite pups & coloring them with this colored pencils. His teacher loved it!
Rylan age 7:
Once Ry saw the new Bork set, he was in love! He stamped them immediately using my Misti and coloured them in with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. To finish off the card he picked a coordinating sentiment and snacks from a sticker pack.
