Mondays: black ‘n white or colorful? by Angela

September 13, 2019

Hello friends,

Angela here and today is Friday and I am ready for the weekend to come! YEAH!!!

BUT…. Monday is waiting just round the corner, so my project for today are two fun cards featuring Mondays stamp set to dispel the arrival of that terrible day!

Although the sentiments I used are from the same Mondays stamp set, the cards appear quite different. For my first card I chose a black and white combo to give a more dramatic and strong look.  I first created the background on a white piece of cardstock using the ‘sleepy’ word Monday that I love so much. I stamped it in 4 shades of gray, from dark to very light.

The sentiment of the card is the fun ‘Punch today in the face’ phrase, always from Mondays stamp set. I stamped it on a black piece of  cardstock and heat-embossed in white. This way the sentiment pops on the white background. The final touch of the card are the the beads. I love adding some brightness to my cards and the Rachel Black Pearls were just the perfect match!

Now, the second card. Here I wanted to stay on a more amusing and fun look, so I went for colors. I chose the phrase ‘Just Another Manic Monday’ from Mondays set and stamped it in the colors of rainbow using dye inks. With the help of a stamping tool, I repeated stamping the phrase until I covered almost the whole surface of the card, changing color each time .

On the white space left at the top, I created a colorful pattern of stripes using Between The Lines stamp. This is a very useful stamp set, because you can use it to compose your own pattens and decorations in a creative and unique way. Last but not least, I added a touch of sparkle with my preferred gems, Lynnea Rainbow!

That’s all for today my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked my cards and you feel inspired to create with the amazing Ink Road stamps!
