Hello and welcome! I love coffee and rainbows. Today’s card creation I’m sharing combines the love for both. I am a collector of mugs (when I can be). My husband will not allow me to buy more. Did you know that Ink Road Stamps has a mug? That one needs to enter my collection soon.
I started by stamping the Mug image from Mug Life several times on a piece of Bristol smooth card stock. I knew in advance I would be coloring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers & Arteza Real Brush Pens.
Like I mentioned above, I love rainbows. So I choose a rainbow of colors to color in my mugs.
Zig Clean Color Marker Colors: Light Pink (026), Pink (025), Yellow (050), Green Shadow (049), May Green (047), Light Blue (036), Dull Blue (034), Light Violet (081)| Arteza Real Brush Pen Colors: Bumblebee Yellow, Wisteria Purple
I did some simple coloring adding the lightest color first over most the coffee mug image and darker color toward the edges where it would be darkest.
After coloring, I fussy cut each mug and laid them out on a strip of white card stock measured at 5.5″ wide x 2″ tall.
I added the “Mug Life” sentiment to the green mug and popped this up using dimensional adhesive.
I backed this strip with black card stock to make it pop against the rainbow paper from Lawn Fawn.
Finally, I stamped the “Today’s good mood…” stamp from Mug Life on black card stock, which I heat embossed in white. Using a banner die cut, I cut the sentiment out and popped it up on the card.
And there you have it! I just adore those rainbow mugs and I know so many coffee loving friends who would be happy to receive this card.
Have an amazing day and #createfreely.
