It’s Ashleigh here again; with a card I made using one of my favourite stamp sets EVER – Mug Life!
Fun fact: This was my first Ink Road Stamps set…and the addiction grew quickly from there!
For this card, I first took a piece of white cardstock and smooshed two different colours of pink ink with a little water onto the background. Dab off any excess ink with a paper towel. I also like to spritz some more water onto the ink to lighten it a little. Dab off any excess ink or water with a paper towel. Dry the background well with a heat tool.
I then took my trusty stamp press and aligned a few stamps from Mug Life onto white cardstock. I found it easiest to stamp one line of stamps at a time. One of my favourite things about this set are the sentiments – So many amazing ones to choose from! Ink up your stamps with grey ink and stamp away. Repeat this until the whole background is covered. Such a fun and easy way to create an effective background!
On a separate piece of cardstock stamp two of the coffee cups. I coloured my images with Copic Markers, so mine were stamped on Copic blending card. Once coloured, fussy cut the images and foam mount onto the background.
To finish off the card, cut a strip of black cardstock and stamp your sentiment on white. Adhere as per the image. Stick the whole card front onto a piece of black cardstock, and then onto the card base.
