Home Stamp SetsBLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED My Sweet Belle

Happy weekend. Today I’m excited to share with you a scrapbook layout using the NEW Ink Road Stamps die – Lacey (that’s me) DIY Window Die (Stitched Edge). I had this crazy idea for a few years now and decided to approach Ink Road Stamps owner, Lara with the idea. She put my concept and design into production.

The coolest thing is, this die isn’t just for card making, you can use in Travelers Notebooks and like the project I’m sharing today, a scrapbook layout. Find out more of how to use this die in a YouTube video I created for Ink Road Stamps.

Alright, now to the layout. I first started by laying out some items I wanted to use. The Ink Road Stamps: Hello Gorgeous die and the DIY Window Die. I started with the rainbow stripe paper, but ended up going a different direction.

Next, I trimmed the white card stock to fit in my die cut machine (6″ wide x 8.5″ high) and ran the Stitched Window die through the machine.

With Catherine Pooler Inks in a pastel rainbow, I got to work on my title. The colors I used (in rainbow order) were, It’s A Girl, Bellini, Tiara, Garden Party, Mint To Be, It’s A Boy, and Sweet Sixteen.

The next image shows how I started laying out the larger elements. I placed the white die cut piece onto an 8.5″ x 11″ a piece of  pattern paper from Fancy Pants Designs: On Our Way (Now Boarding). Also, I couldn’t let the rainbow paper go to waste, I cut stripes to add to either side of the white card stock.

This next part I struggled for a bit. It was one of those “walk away” moments. In the end I decided to use the Ink Road Stamps: Bloom Where You Are Planted CUT FILE. With my silhouette cameo and software, I enlarged the flowers and leaves to fill out my layout.

Then I started to adhere everything down.

I wanted one last touch of color, so I die cut tags from Tim Holtz: Tiny Tabs & Tags die and inked them up using Catherine Pooler Inks. To tie it into the layout I stamped an image from Bork and a phrase from Fur Babies.

And here is the completed layout.

Thank you for joining me today. All the Ink Road Stamp products I used are listed and linked below. Have a lovely day!

This is so cute!!! Your girl reminds me of my doggy niece (my sister’s dog). She is 1/2 Brussels Griffon and 1/2 Yorkie. I just love to see projects which include pets!!!!
