Hey Roadies! February is drawing to a close and the focus shifts to birthday cards. Seems like no matter how many we create, we’re always adding more to our forever dwindling Birthday stash.
Today I’ll be using Mari Party and showing an example that could be mass produced and use up scraps while you’re at it.
Started by stamping the Mari Party balloons onto a sticky note or masking tape and cutting it out. Take a color of your choosing, both paper and ink, I went with white A2 card stock and pink ink. Stamp half of the sheet from the bottom up, using the sticky note to mask as you make your way to the top. Fussy cut balloons as pictured.
Then dig through your scraps, I found a strip of glitter gold paper that fit perfect on half the card. Another idea is to create strips with your scraps and use that to create unique backgrounds. Adhere your scrap onto your base then, using foam tape, adhere the balloons on top.
Choose your sentiment, I decided to go with a smaller “Happy Birthday” from INKed Girl Lani (Retired). Stamped then matted on black cardstock and glued with both wet and foam adhesive.
To finish, embellish with pretty shiny sequins and voilà! Add a special message inside and it’s ready to party.
