Pastels Daisie Alpha Card

May 27, 2019

Hello Roadies, it’s Angela here with you. My today project is a fresh and stylish card I made using the Daisie Alpha stamps. That’s not the first time I use this set and it won’t be the last because the alphabet is gorgeous and I love it. You can see my previous project here. This is completely different, as you can see. It’s a fresh, stylish and colorful card.

To make it I started choosing five different colors of cardstock from my leftover box. I wanted my color combo to stay on pastel shades, so I chose very light colors in pink, lilac, and blue. On each piece of cardstock I printed one letter of the word Hello with VersaMark Ink and heat-embossed in white. Then, I fussy-cut each letter.

For the background I chose white. To give it more interest, I embossed it using an embossing folder I had in my stash. I set in place the letters with foam adhesive onto the base an I added a little strip to the sentiment who says Lovely. This comes from Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp set. Last, I added a couple of white half gems called Heather Pearl. These add that little something that give a touch of shine to the card.

Finally, I mounted the composition on a A2 white card base.

I like to combine my cards to a matching envelop, I think it’s an added value. So I created an envelope in the same colors of the card. I grabbed a regular white envelop and I colored the flap with Distress Oxides and voilà, here is the final result.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you liked my card and I encourage you to check the other design team members projects on the Ink Road blog to feel even more inspired to create.
