Hey everyone! It’s Kira and I am back with a 12×12 scrapbook layout. I’ve been seeing these large circle grid style layouts lately and just knew I had to jump on that trend!
I started by cutting nine 3 1/2″ circles on a 12×12 piece of textured white cardstock, using my Cricut. I spaced them all evenly so it was a true grid style. While my paper was still attached to my cutting mat, I added a tiny bit of ink around the circles. I decided which color inks I had planned to use for my stamping, and in what order they would go on my page. Then I added some ink to a large acrylic block, added some water, and painted each color around the edge of each circle.
The center circle was going to house my photo. I chose this photo of my oldest son wearing my husband’s postal hat while he napped. And then I searched through the stamps to find a coordinating phrase. Gangsta Napper?! I mean, come on. How perfect is that?! Lol. You can find this phrase in the Fur Babies stamp set.
On some scrap smooth white cardstock, I created a pattern with the phrase in each color of ink. I adhered each stamped pattern behind the coordinating circle after adding some foam behind my background paper.
To finish off my page, I used all sorts of stickers and used a color blocking technique to embellish the page.
Thanks for stopping by!
xo, Kira
