You guys! I can’t even! I made this adorable little popsicle phone case for my mom…and thought…this is missing something. So, behold, a little shaker phone card to go inside her gift.
A little back story, just for fun…My mom and I were shopping while I was pregnant with my daughter (over 3 years ago!) and I fell in love with a discontinued crib set. Oh, the horror! So, my mom, being the awesome mom that she is, hunted down the bedding and bought it for me. Now that my little monster doesn’t sleep in a crib, crib bedding is pretty much useless. So I tore it all apart. Cue the horrified faces everywhere! But it’s okay, because her crib bumpers look just as cute as a phone case as they did in her bed!
Now, back to the stamps…
The Call Me Maybe set was a no brainer for this little project. I used vellum as the “screen” and stamped with the little messages, as if they were texts back and forth. I used a cut file for the rest of the phone, and cut it out of black and white paper, super easy. Then I used some red line tape to create a little wall for those sequins. Assembling the whole thing was quick and easy, and so fun to give as a gift!
My favorite is “the internet knows I like you” because…it’s true! I love my mama! <3
I think subconsciously this project is me wishing for the warmer weather of spring and summer, when we can eat popsicles outside and not turn into them! Either way, I feel a little warm and fuzzy inside!
