Today I’m sharing a card with you that I have had in my thoughts since I saw the Bork stamp set. If you have been a fan of Ink Road Stamps for awhile, you know this was released awhile ago. Well I finally got around to creating this card.
This card is inspired by Pop Art and Andy Warhol. The color palette was inspired by this image I found on Pinterest.
I started by stamping 3 of the puppies on Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Archival Ink.
Then, I stamped them on a full sticky back post it note to mask the pups.
Next, using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a blender brush, I added color to the full background of each of the squares.
Removing the masks reveals the magic underneath, but to continue with the Andy Warhol look, these pups won’t stay white for long.
Using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a water brush, I added color to each of the pups.
Next, I die cut the pups using the Lacey’s DIY Window Straight Die from Ink Road Stamps.
The final card size is 5″ x 7″ and I added the pups to the WRMK: Urban Chic pattern paper. Popping up two of the dog squares.
I finished off the card with a sentiment from Ink Road Stamps – Modern Romance, which I heat embossed on black cardstock. I also popped up the sentiment.
There you have it! I love being inspired by art from the past that made an impact on our culture. Don’t forget to use LACEY10 at check out for 10% off all Ink Road Stamp products!
