Hello everyone! It’s Angela and today I’m sharing how to create colorful sentiments you can use in your cards for a rainbow effect. I used the Hello Gorgeous Stamps and the coordinated Dies which are absolutely fabulous! You can place this sentiment in your scrapbooking layouts too, because these dies have a nice size and are big enough to be used as a title. Let’s talk about the procedure! There are several techniques you can use to make a colorful sentiment, here I explain you my way and how I created the card.
I started selecting the colors from my Oxide Inks and stamped each single letter of the Hello Gorgeous Stamps with a different color on a piece of watercolor paper. Here is the list of the inks I used: candied apple, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, bundled sage, evergreen bough, seedless preserves and blueprint sketch.
TIP: for a gradual change of color between the letters I suggest you to use a wet brush to help the two colors mixing together.
To color the sentiment you can also use watercolors, watercolor brush pens and pencils, just choose what you have of water soluble media.
When everything was dry, I cut out the sentiment using the Hello Gorgeous Dies and covered it with Glossy Accent sparkled with white fine glitters.
To make the sentiment pop, I cut out a second time the words Hello Gorgeous on a piece of black fun foam and glued it on the back. Can you see how sparkling and colorful and thick is the sentiment?
As a finishing touch, I added a few enamel triangles in the colors of rainbow and a fun colorful tassel fixed with a stripe of washi tape and voilà!
I hope you find this little tutorial useful and you will give it a try. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great crafty day!
