Hey everyone! It’s Kira and I am back with another travelers notebook layout today! Confession: I tend to create all of my Ink Road Stamps projects on the same day. Which leads me to use the same stamp set, since it’s already out, but in a different way.
You may have caught last weeks blog where I used a phrase stamp from the Stars Hollow set, well while it was sitting on my desk, I caught a glimpse of the umbrella from the stamp set, and had the perfect photo for that stamp. I grabbed this photo of my youngest son, playing quietly with himself while we were trapped inside on a rainy day. He is just the absolute best at keeping himself entertained (unlike my oldest son, who believes I am his personal court jester).
In the photo, he is lining up some of his cars and animals, so I gravitated towards this subway map paper as a jumping off point for color. I grabbed some inks in the colors on the paper, and used them to stamp a pattern on the reverse page with the umbrella.
I didn’t want a ton of space between the umbrellas, so I stamped the umbrellas both right side up and upside down. My trick for stamping a pattern directly in your TN…start out sloppy, so when you mess up, you won’t notice. You’re welcome. Lol.
I finished the layout off with some embellishing and journaling and called it done!
Thanks for stopping by!
xo, Kira
