Hello, hello! Samantha Ziegenfuss here with a fun, one layer card to share with you today. The Block Party Alpha Outline stamps are dear to my heart because they allow me to say whatever it is I’d like to say. In this case I wanted to spell out a slightly snarky sentiment.
To begin I masked off the edges of a side folding A2 sized notecard with some washi tape that I don’t care for. You know how when you buy a big tube of washi tape and you inevitably end up with some patterns that you don’t like a whole lot? This is a perfect way to put them to use. Side note. If you experience washi tape ripping your card stock try zapping the washi with a heat gun. This will loosen the glue and make it less likely to rip your project when you remove it.
After masking off the outside I did some simple ink blending.
Next I lined up my stamps to spell out the phrase “how about no”, and stamped them with black ink onto a piece of white A2 sized cardstock to ensure that I had the placement just right. I’m going to turn this into a bonus card down at the end of this post.
After covering my ink blended card with my anti static powder tool, I stamped my sentiment in clear embossing ink and heat set it with gold embossing powder. I then used my heat gun to loosen the glue on the washi.
To add a touch more interest I added a few Flat Back Half Beads- Gina Clear Bubbles.
