Santa Card

October 25, 2018

If you live in a region where you get four seasons and it is fall, I am not sure if you are ready to think about Christmas quite yet. Heck, it isn’t even Halloween. But I created this holiday card to start to get you into the holiday mood. I used the Spieglemom Scraps Card Drive Sketch for today as an inspiration for this card design.

First, I stamped the Santa from the Happy Holla Days stamp set and colored him in with Copic Markers. Then I chose a paper from the Echo Park: Celebrate Christmas 6×6 Paper Pad (from the Clique Kits Classic Christmas Kit). I die cut both the Santa and the pattern paper using a circle die.

Next, I choose the snowflake paper on kraft from the 6×6 paper pack to add to the card base. The size of this piece is 3.5″ wide x 4″ high.

Using the Santa circle stack as a guide, I stamped the “Santa?! I Know Him” sentiment from the Happy Holla Days set right onto the snowflake background using Catherine Pooler – Midnight Ink.

Inside the card I stamped “Merry Christmas” from the same stamp set and used Catherine Pooler – Eucalyptus Ink.

The card base felt plain to me, so I stamped the snowflakes from the Happy Holla Days stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

Finally, I adhered sequins from Spieglemom Scraps, Mistletoe Greetings set.

And there you have it! Hope this got you in a little holiday spirit today. Don’t forget to check out the NEW 4th quarter release stamps, which includes a new Christmas stamp “Are you Serious Clark?”. Use my discount code LACEY10 for 10% off at checkout.

Thank you for joining me today. Have a lovely day!
