You could literally smell the reaction from my son on his 8th birthday when I leaned in to give him a kiss…
“OMG MOM..WHAT THE FUDGE”?!?!?!?!
Am I right?! LOL! Seriously “The Struggle is Real” stamp set couldn’t have been more appropriate to use to document this momentous moment between mother and son.
And this stamp set is loaded with all sorts of devilish little sayings perfect for documenting my family.
To start my background I used my cheap-o water color set and placed splotches of color down in a circular pattern and made sure to use colors that would bleed into one another well. I wanted the colors to coordinate with the Amy Tangerine “On a Whim” line. After the background was dry I took the question mark and exclamation point and stamped all over each area in coordinating colors. I made sure to use chalk ink (or a highly pigmented ink) so that the colors would sit on top of the page instead of soak into the background. Then I finished it off with coordinating colored ephemera pieces, acrylic pieces, flair buttons, enamel dots…basically if it was the same color I threw it on.
But not in a way that it look like scrapbooking supplies threw up all over the place…
…although that would have been appropriate too since my son was probably ready to puke from his disgusting mom’s PDA…
If you need me I’ll be crying in the bathtub….
Thanks for hanging out with me today! Make sure to check out the shop and get yourself some fabulous stamps!
