Selecting Sentiment in Subway Art

June 6, 2020

Hi everyone!

It’s Angela back with you on the blog. Today, I am sharing two cards using Subway Art: Fairy Tale Stamp and a couple of ideas on how to select one of the phrases on the stamp.

Now, Subway Art are stamp series made of many phrases with a specific theme. Here, I am using the Fairy Tale one and pare it with the unicorn from Majestic AF stamp was just perfect.

There are so many beautiful phrases in this stamp set that I wanted to use one of them as a sentiment for the card. I didn’t want to cut it, because the stamp is gorgeous in its entirety. I had to find out a different way.

The first and easiest way I found was to underline the phrase. Here, I used a mint watercolor to do the job.

I stamped the whole Fairy Tale stamp using gold embossing powder and then, I underlined the phrase I chose to be the sentiment with a wash of mint watercolor.

In the second card, I underlined the sentiment stamping it with a different embossing powder color. I stick a slim strip of washi tape on the chosen sentiment, inked the stamp and then I removed the washi tape before stamping.

Then, I did the same way when stamping the sentiment, using gold embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked the ideas on how selecting sentiments in a card and hopefully give it a try. Happy crafting!

Love, NG
