Shaunt’e Lewis Shaker Card

September 7, 2020

I created this shaker card using the new Shaunt’e Lewis Collab stamp set. Check out her Instagram here! Not only is her illustration gorgeous, but the profits from this stamp set will be donated to Parent Villages!

I began by stamping and heat embossing the main image from Shaunt’e Lewis Collab (using versafine onyx black and clear emobssing powder) onto bristol smooth. I added the sentiment from Bun Intended 3 tucked into the bottom corner.

For the shaker element I used a craft knife to cut out the circle background. I ran a black water based marker along the edges of my cut to cover the white of the paper.

I colored the image using my favorite water based markers, Arteza brush pens. Because of the smooth paper they blend into each other nicely.

For the shaker element I flipped over the image and adhered a piece of clear acetate to the back. Next I used craft foam to form the shaker well, making sure there are no gaps. I filled the middle section with iridescent chunky glitter, then sealed it up with tan cardstock.

To complete the inside of the card I stamped the same image in no line coloring ink for a subtle look. For the washi on the bottom I cut pride washi in half to match the color scheme of this card.
