Slimline Karen Using Lightbox Alphas With Carol

September 8, 2020

Hello! And welcome to another crafty day! I am so excited to be joining you again! Today, I will be showing off a very close-to-my-heart card I made featuring the Lightbox Alphas stamp set. I also used the Bella Flora, and Karen Vol. 2 sets.

For this card, I actually started with the background. I had a completely different idea for the direction of this card, and so I ink blended rainbow colors to a slimline card panel. As I got my brain wheels turning, I realized, I had a WAY better idea. So, I heat embossed Karen’s head to vellum, and adhered it using foam tape, to a foiled frame. The frame got really janky because I had to fussy cut it, but I think that just gives it a more “Worn In” look 😉

By the way, all the images have been fussy cut. There are Bella Flora Dies, so get them, quick because they’re in line to be retired!

For the sentiment, I went with a classic, and heat embossed it on slate gray card stock. What I love most about the Lightbox Alphas is that she incorporates multiples of each letter. So, creating this sentiment when SUPER fast! Can anybody say, Winning?

To cut them out, I used some stitched rectangle dies, and adhered them flat as crooked as possible.

To finish, I added some champagne enamel dots, added some shimmer to the flowers, and glued everything down flat to a slimline card panel.

Baddabing, Baddaboom!
