Hey y’all, Ali here! I am snow excited to show you guys a snowy layout! Okay, I may be overplaying the snow thing, but here in Texas it is seriously an exciting day when we get this much snow! I have been looking at all of the snowflake stamps from the Happy Holla Days set longingly for so long, and now, I finally have a chance to use them!
One of my very favorite things to do with my smaller stamps is to create a silhouette. This is so much easier than you would think. First, I cut a snowman on a piece of card stock (typically with my cameo). I use some washi to secure my cut paper onto my background and then stamp in the negative space, making sure I get my stamps all the way to each edge. When I remove the paper I have the perfect little snowman! I used a cool blue and lots of different snowflakes to make my snowman. I even embossed some red snowflakes onto his floppy santa hat!
I wanted my photos and that snowman to be the star of the show, but I felt like this needed a little more. I used my cameo to cut out some snowflakes on vellum and used the same blue ink to stamp some snowflakes onto my vellum snow flakes. Basically just a snowflake overload! But the outcome is snow magical!
