Hey y’all, Ali here! I love creating my own patterned paper with stamps, don’t you? But have you used your home made patterned paper in a cut file? I just love how this turns out!
I started with all of the wonderful Full Circle stamps and made a fun pattern on white card stock. I also included some of the tiny hexagons for added interest. I used a color scheme that went with my daughter’s shirt because I’m kinda OCD like that, haha!
Next, I used my cameo to cut a fun geometric layered star cut file. The result feels like a party on my layout, and I love it! I added some fun embellishments in the same colors as I did the stamping and then stitched around each star in a different color embroidery floss. A bit of fun tissue paper (spoiler alert: your stamps will come with this beautiful tissue) and my layout was complete.
I love the fun vibe the background of this layout creates. My daughter was so excited at JoAnns, I would like to say it is because her mom created the layout on the cover of that magazine, but really she just loves Mardi Gras beads! Ha! This technique is so easy and fun, I hope you will give it a go!
