Hello friends! I’m back with another card featuring the fun This Stamp Is Bananas stamp set and made for the Sparkly Inks Card Drive event of Ink Road Stamps in cooperation with Spiegelmom Scraps. Today is inspiration day 5 and this is the sketch to follow if you’d like to play with us:
Here is my personal version:
As you can see I pretty much followed the card sketch except for the diagonal, inverted on the opposite side. My previous card of inspiration day 2 was a colorful rainbow card, you can find it here. This time, I went for an almost monochromatic card, with a white card base and lots of gold details.
The Pineapple is heat embossed in gold, fussy cut and sticked to the card with foam adhesive. On top of it I added the sentiment always from This Stamp Is Bananas stamp set. This is heat embossed in white on a gold piece of cardstock.
TIP: Gold cardstock is very static, so remember to use a generous amount of antistatic powder on the cardstock before stamping.
The diagonal piece of the card is a flap that opens up vertically. Alongside the diagonal I added a scallop gold border and I stamped a chevron strip heat embossed it always in gold. The chevron is a tiny stamp from #beautifulmess stamp set.
Opening up the card it reveals the second part of the sentiment, the fun ‘You’d Be A Fine-Apple’. It is always heat embossed with white powder on gold cardstock and it is fixed to the card base whit two photo corners.
I love little details so I added a few gold sequins and another tiny stamp of vertical marks from the #beautifulmess stamp set at the bottom of the card and on top right side. Finally, I adhered the card on a gold cardstock base and voilà, my card is done!
I hope you like my version of sparkling monochromatic gold card and thank you so much for stopping by.
