Hello everyone, Angela back with another Sparkling Card for day 16 of the Sparkly Inks Card Drive by The Ink Road Stamps and Spiegelmom Scraps – you can find details on the SMS & IR October Card Rally Facebook Group or refer to our first post by Natalie here. Today my card is featuring the fun This Stamp Is Bananas stamp set, ’cause my intention was to make an unconventional Christmas greeting card.
For making it, I started stamping the fruits on a piece of white cardstock, using Altenew Crisp Inks, Forest Glades for the pears, Warm Sunshine for the lemons and Coral Berry for the strawberries.
TIP: to keep the stamps as close as possible, I first stamped a fruit and then I placed the second fruit leaving the first in place. This allowed me to keep the stamps closed one to the other without overlapping them.
I hand drew a few black lines to imitate a garland and adhered a few sequins on top. Then, I cut a simple triangular Christmas tree from another white cardstock and I placed it on the stamped cardstock, using foam adhesive.
For the sentiment I used the Hello from Bella Flora Dies. I cut the word from pink and fuchsia fun foam and adhered one on the other, slightly moved on one side, to create a kind of shadow.
Finally, I glued everything on a 6 inches square card base in light pink, to make the pink of the sentiment pop.
I love making pretty envelops to match my handmade cards, so I created the coordinated envelop whit the same fruits from This Stamp Is Bananas. I created the envelop with my 1-2-3 Punch Board by WRMK from a single sided paper, pink on one side and white on the other. On the white side, I stamped the same fruits in the same colors used for the card and voilà! My set is ready to be send.
Thank you so much for stopping by. If you liked my project don’t forget to leave me some kind comments and also, don’t forget to check the other ladies projects for getting more inspirations.
