Hi Roadies! Angela here with you today with some joking card ideas using the Spork Stamp set. These cards are perfect to welcome a new baby born in a fun way. So, let’s dive into it.
For my first card I waned to imitate a table setting so I decided to use a piece of real fabric for my background. I cut the fabric slightly smaller than the card base and adhered it with regular tape.
I placed a paper doily in the center of the card. Then, I heat-embossed the cutlery of Spork set with silver powder and fussy cut each piece.
I used a few little pieces of foam adhesive cut to size to stick the cutlery in place and adhered a teeny blue bow on top of the baby spork -word that comes from the mix of the two words spoon+fork-.
The sentiment is from the same Spork stamp set. I stamped it on a piece of vellum and adhered it onto the fabric using a couple of glue dots hidden underneath the stamped words. This way is almost impossible to see the dots through the vellum.
I chose a fun sentiment for the inside too, just to be a bit naughty with the new parents ;P
For my second card I stepped further, adapting my clear stamps to the card. Here, I wanted the two cutlery parents surround the little baby spork. For doing that, I slightly bent the clear stamps and adhered them bent directly on the acrylic block. This is a great way to adapt the image to your needs and get them most out of your stamps.
To distinguish mother spoon from father fork, I added a pink bow on top of the spoon. Both the bows, this and the one of the previous card, are from the multicolor Shelly Bows tin by Ink Road.
The sentiment here is a combination of two stamps. They always come from Spork set and I stamped one sentiment below the other with black Versafine.
Last, the inside. The sentiment here is not that bad but surly fun!
That’s all for today my friend. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you liked my cards and found inspiration and useful tips for you future projects. See you soon.
