Hey Roadies! Angela here with a very special project made for a very special person, my son. Next week he turns sixteen and I have prepared an Opal Unicorn tag to go with his birthday present.
To create the tag I used a piece of heavy weight white card-stock. I needed it heavy weight because I colored it mixing together blue and purple watercolor. I made one big stain, about 4 x 5 in and let it dry. Then, I copied the stain on a sheet of paper and fussy cut the stain. I placed the negative on the tag, leaving the stain visible and I stamped on it the beautiful unicorns from Majestic AF Background with Versamark Ink.
I did a good cover of ink on the stamp because I wanted to use a foil sheet on the background. At this point, I remove the piece of paper used for masking and I placed a piece of Deco Foil transfer sheet on the tag and I run everything into my hot laminator. Then, the magic appears! All those little glowing unicorns! Just gorgeous!
The sentiment I chose comes from Earresistible stamp set. I think this is perfect for a young man in his teen. I embellished the card with some leaves and flowers from Bloom Where You Are Planted. Simply, I stamped in black and fussy cut. I also added a spot of color on the flowers with my markers plus some Catherine Purple Gems and voilà!
It was so hard to shoot a good pic but can you get the iridecent background from this last photo? It is fabulous from life. Trust me! I hope you liked it and I hope my son will love it too.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Love,
NG
