Stamping a Foliage Frame

October 26, 2018

Hello and welcome back!!  Laurie here and I’ve got a card to share with you today that has a stamped foliage frame that is super easy to do!

I would really recommend using a stamp positioning tool for this as it will make your life easier!  I used the Misti for all my stamping.  I started by taking one of the Monstera left image from the Frond of You Stamp set and placed it on one corner of my card panel. Using a medium shade of grey, I stamped.  Now, all you have to do is turn your cardstock 90 degrees and stamp again. This gives you the exact placement in the opposite corner.

This is kind of tedious because you do have to move the stamp to each position but it goes really quick. To fill in some of the white space between these leaves, I used the fern type leaf (?) and did the exact same method.  I used the same ink but stamped off first or to be technical..second generation stamping.

The sentiment comes from the Bella Flora stamps and Dies. OMG, have you seen the size of this die set?? It’s enormous and I LOVE IT!! I die cut like 4 of the “kind” dies and layered them together for a really thick look. I coloured the top layer using a sponge dauber and a couple shades of pink dye ink.  Then I slathered on the Glossy Accents! I thought it needed a bit more of the pink so I coloured some heart die cuts with the same inks and glued them down.

And that’s my finished card for today!!  Thanks a bunch for stopping by..you’re kind 🙂

See you soon!

Laurie
