Hi, fellow crafters! Natalie here today to bring you a COLORFUL layout created with loads of Ink Road Stamps. Have y’all seen the movie The Greatest Showman?! It was beautiful and lovely and grand and the soundtrack is on replay in our home these days! It’s so wonderful, it inspired my latest Ink Road layout!
I love the words of a song from the movie – “Every night I lie in bed, a million colors in my head, a million dreams for a world we’re gonna make.”
My inspiration began with a rainbow, as it’s wont to do every few layouts. But, giving credit where credit is due, I couldn’t get a layout created on ACRYLIC by @_marianapadilha on Instagram out of my head! I grabbed this transparent 12×12 sheet & my rainbow colors were solidified.
See?! It’s a transparent layout! SO fun!
I choose 6 photos of my hubby and I throughout the years – doing some of our “million dreams” and I stamped some of my favorite sentiments and images in 6 colors.
I used hearts from Blended, asterisks from #beautifulmess, and stars from Majestic AF. I chose a sentiment for each color. Yellow’s says “family ever after” from Blended with our engagement day photo!
Who says the sentiments from Fir Real are only for Christmas?! This one definitely described our honeymoon so well!
The unicorn stamp from Majestic AF was perfect for the photo from the day we had quite a horse ride in Costa Rica! And the badass sentiment from Bun Intended was perfect since we ziplined in jungles too!
These Thickers from American Crafts can be dyed any color using using your stamping ink!
Call Me Maybe works for love & Snapchats! I seriously had so much fun creating this layout!
I added some black (because every layout needs a little black, AIR?) with gears cut from a Tim Holtz die on my Big Shot. Then I piled on the 3d embellishments and sequins. Zots clear dots are super strong for heavy embellies and the clear helps with the transparent background! I will put this baby in a page protector by itself to preserve the fun, transparent whimsy.
I love filling layouts with tons of die cuts, and creating your own from your stamps are an economical way to create endless embellishments! A word of advice – have an Xacto knife handy when your scissor hand cramps up!!
Go snag a stamp set (or 10) and create your own embellishments to match any color palette your dreams can imagine!
