I have to be honest. The background panel I already had in my stash while I was playing around with the Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray and a stencil. You must try this stuff!! I stamped almost all the images from the stamp set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them in gold. I’m not going to call this particular brand of embossing powder out, but I’m kind of disappointed with it. It’s just not a very pretty gold. So, if anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to know!!! But, I digress…I fussy cut all that golden fruit out and adhered each piece together to form one large focal point.
I put foam tape on the entire image and adhered it to the stencilled background panel. For the sentiment, I decided to create my own. I’m a sucker for alphabet stamps (and dies)! I used the Block Party Alpha Outline Set to create the word ‘HEY’ which I also fussy cut:).
For the inside of the card, I stamped “sweet” which is also part of the This Stamp is Bananas set. I hand wrote the word “stay” to complete the sentiment. I wish I could write as beautifully as some.
And that’s my Golden Fruit Card!! Tons of fun to make and really makes a statement. Love those bold fruit images!! I have a few other ideas using this stamp set!
Thanks so much for stopping by today…stay golden my friends!
