Ten Kinds of Wonderful – Card

January 20, 2019

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m going to share a card using some of my favorite Ink Road products! Wait, who am I kidding, I ADORE all of Ink Road Stamps products!

Today’s card could be turned into a Valentine’s card, a card for a friend, or just an everyday I love you card to someone you think is Wonderful.

To start, I added alcohol inks to Yupo paper. If you do not know what Yupo paper is, it is a best described as a plastic paper. It is non-porous and the Alcohol Inks can mover around freely to create awesome backgrounds, but in my creation, I’m actually going to die cut the Yupo paper.

With the Bella Flora Dies, I used a metal shim to cut out the florals using the pink, orange and purple alcohol ink paper. The Metal Shim really helps with a better cut as the paper is thick and not really “paper”. I ran it through my die cut machine 3-4 times to get a crisp cut.

The results are beautiful! I love being able to take different mediums to create backgrounds and my own paper. Just look at the results below.

Next, I cut a piece of Doodlebug: Lily White Sugar Coated Cardstock to 5.25″ x 4″ to fit my A2 sized card and work as a background for these lovely flower die cuts. I arranged my die cuts on the glitter piece in a cluster. As I knew my sentiment piece, the Black cardstock with the sentiment from Ink Road Stamps – Compliments Vol 1. embossed in Sterling Silver Embossing Powder by Stampendous would look great in the center of the clustered flowers.

I popped up the black sentiment piece using fun foam and adhered this to the center of the card.

I glued down the glitter piece with the flowers and sentiment directly onto a Neenah Solar White A2 sized card.

Don’t you just LOVE how those flowers pop with the alcohol ink paper against the black card stock? I challenge you to try out alcohol inks and die cutting them to create your one of a kind creations with your die cuts.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you learned a new technique to use on your next project.
