Hello Roadies! Today I’m sharing a Father’s Day card that was commissioned by my fur babies for my hubby. He’s such an amazing dog Dad that they wanted an extra special Father’s Day card this year. I always like to get a head start on any type of holiday card. 😉
I started by stamping a background on grey and cream striped patterned paper from my stash. I used 3 sentiments from Fur Babies and stamped them using black ink.
Next I stamped three paws using the large paw icon from the set. I stamped using a blue ink on cream cardstock. I used the Block Party Alpha Outline to stamp the letters D and A to spell Dad. I stamped the letters using black ink then colored them in with a black marker. I fussy cut the paws leaving a thin border.
I took the sentiment “Dog Mom” included in Fur Babies and masked off Mom to only stamp the word Dog. I stamped using the same blue ink I used on the paws. I trimmed it down and fish tailed the ends and matted it on black cardstock.
I took a think strip of vellum and added it running across the center of my card panel. I folded the edges over and glued them down. Next I matted the stamped panel onto some black cardstock cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I adhered my card panel onto a cream A2 sized card base.
I stamped Happy Father’s Day on the inside of the card using the Happy Father’s Day stamp.
