Hello and happy Sunday.
I can’t believe 2020 is in just a few days! Where did the last 1 (or actually 2) decades go?
2019 was definitely a memorable one for my little family. After 10 years of dating, 6 years of marriage, and 2 puppy children, my husband and I welcomed our son, Easton Edmund in November 2019. He is absolutely perfect and we can’t imagine our life without our baby boy.
Today’s project is the first I created with photos of Easton. This is a travelers notebook spread featuring the stamp set, Days-E Phrases. This set was perfect to capture our feelings about our little man.
I began by planning out my page. I placed the stamps and the stamp sheet on my spread with the photos I trimmed down of Easton. I love how the photo on the right has phrases above and below the image.
Next, I placed these into my misti stamp positioned and stamped them on my Travelers Notebook base pages (which is just white card stock).
Prior to stamping, I matted my photo with pattern paper from Crate Paper.
I stamped this twice to get a great impression.
This large sentiment fit perfectly for the width of my page.
On the opposite page, I stamped sentiments from the Days-E phrases stamp set to be seen above and below the photo I will place on that page.
I again, matted my photo with pattern paper and adhered it to the center of this page.
To finish up the greeting on the left page, I stamped out “A Little More Beautiful” on black card stock using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I added this to the photo.
To finish the layout, I stamped one of the flower borders from the Days-E Phrase stamp set on a piece of watercolor paper. Using watercolor paints, I painted the image in and adhered it behind the photo on the right side.
I also tore a piece of pattern paper to add to the bottom of the spread to ground the page.
And here is the final spread.
I can’t wait to document more of my little boy! I hope you have a wonderful and joyous 2020! As always, feel free to use discount code LACEY10 at checkout for 10% off your Ink Road purchases.
