As soon as I saw the quarter 3 release I fell in love with Thick Thighs Thin Patience, and while planning how I wanted to use it I realized that the floral images from Days-e Phrases are the perfect size to pair with it!
I started by stamping the images onto bristol smooth paper with Versafine onyx black ink, then I clear heat embossed on top. I colored the floral images with Arteza real brush pens and blended the color out with water on a paint brush.
I wanted a coordinating rainbow strip for either size of the focal image, so I scribbled the same markers I used to color the flowers onto my glass mat. I picked up the marker with water on my paint brush to create a watercolor, and painted several layers to get a loose watercolor texture.
Arteza Real Brush Pen colors used: Red, Orange, Lemon Yellow, Lime Green, Green, Teal, Cyanine Blue, and Orchid Purple
I cut the rainbow strip in half and put it on either side of the card, then layered the focal panel on top of craft foam for dimension. I also added a thin strip of black glitter paper on either side to add definition between the white main panel and rainbow edges.
And we can’t forget about the inside! Ink Road has some super cute Pride washi, so I placed the Traditional Gay Pride Flag washi along the bottom edge. I also stamped the same floral image in black above the washi so it coordinates with the front design.
Just a reminder, if you are interested in purchasing the products I used in this card, or anything else from Ink Road Stamps, you can use code BECCA10 for 10% off of your order.
I hope you enjoyed this card and found the sentiment as awesome as I do!
