Hello friends!! Angie here with you again to share a scrapbook layout about my darling nephew. I wanted this layout to be a bit grungy and full of mixed media.
I started this layout with a thick piece of white cardstock, some black paint and an old gift card. I simply dipped the edge of the gift card into the paint and made some grid like marks in the upper right and bottom left of the cardstock. Once the black paint was dry, I used a stencil and some aqua colored metallic texture paste to make the plus sign design. Since this layout was going to be about my nephew, I knew the BoyMom stamp set would be perfect! I adore that set and even if you aren’t a boy mom, there are many versatile stamps in the set such as the stars and the gears.
I stamped several of the stars, both large and small, on patterned paper and cut them out and used the gears as another layer on my background. I also used the dots and the word memories from the Bloom Where You are Planted set to add more to the background.
To finish off the mixed media look, I add lots of ink splatters in different colors and those awesome starlet embellishments. You REALLY need those–in all the colors!!! For my title, I used a combination of letter stickers and the Block Part Outline stamp set.
I used a stencil to cut out that big E, representing my nephew’s name and of course I had to add the game controller from the BoyMom set, as he loves to play video games.
