Hello Roadies, Lorena here! I have a bright, summery card to share with y’all(I’ve been living in Texas 6 years now, I can’t help it.). I made this fun card using This Stamp is Bananas, Bun Intended, and the flat back half gems in Crystal Sunshine.
I started off with 110 lb white card stock cut to 5.5″ x 4.25″. I took the banana from the This Stamp is Bananas set and stamped using a neutral ink color. I started stamping on the top left then came down diagonally at an angle and ended at the bottom right. Then I stamped working my way out until the background was filled but not overcrowded. I filled in the empty space with the dot cluster from the Bun Intended set using some black ink. Then I stamped the smaller heart cluster from Bun Intended using bright yellow ink. Once I was happy with the background I began to work on the main image. I stamped the banana image twice using a bright yellow ink and then fussy cut them out. I started to arrange my card design here…I wanted this card to be on the neutral side with pops of bright yellow and black. I die cut a circle using vellum and used that as a little backdrop to adhere my adorable bananas onto.
I heat embossed the sentiment You drive me bananas on black card stock using white embossing powder and trimmed it down into a banner. And while I was at it embossing, I decided to emboss the small heart cluster from Bun Intended onto a little black banner to match my sentiment. Put it all together! I trimmed down my panel and matted it onto black card stock then again onto bright yellow card stock. I used liquid adhesive to adhere to one of the bananas onto my vellum circle. I used foam squares for the other banana and my sentiment strip. I showered my bananas with a liquid shimmer pen and added some extra sparkle with the flat back half gems in Crystal Sunshine. These gems are just gorgeous and add so much awesomeness to the card!
This card was so fun and easy to make! I hope y’all like it! Have an awesome day Roadies!!
