Happy Sunday, Ink Road Fans!! Laurie here to share another handmade card!  This is a lengthy post with lots of photos so sit back, relax and enjoy the read!!  I am a true coffee fan. I know I drink far more than I should but I love it so much!  So, I made a card to celebrate my love of java and how it seriously improves my life, hahaha!!

I used the Mug Life Stamp Set to create this card. This set is beyond hilarious and truthful!  I chose all three of the to-go style mugs and started by creating masks. Using my Misti, I stamped the image I wanted in the foreground, FIRST. I put the mask over the image and was able to stamp the other two cups beside it making it look like they were behind it.

Because coffee is sometimes a ray of sunshine in my life, I wanted to use a sunshine stencil.  I put all three masks on the stamped images as well as a mask on the lower half of the panel and put the stencil over top.

This is going to make it look like the rays are behind the cups.  I used Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw Distress Inks for the blending.  What I love about masking and stencilling is that it always looks like a hot mess until everything is taken off. Here’s a look at the hot mess…

Before removing the masks, I decided I needed some sort of “ground” for the cups. I moved the blue mask up to cover the rays and ink blended some Pumice Stone Distress Ink towards to bottom of the cups.

And this is how it looks after all the masks are removed!!

Now it was time to add some colour.  I chose a variety of Copic Markers for this. I wanted to show you the card front after the colouring was done but then to show you how you can dress it up with other accents!

So, it looks pretty good right now but with a couple tiny stamps and some Glossy Accents, it looks WAY BETTER!!

The detail stamps on the cups come from the Bloom Where You Are Planted Stamp Set and add so much, I think!  Also, it is my firm belief that you cannot have enough Glossy Accents.  The main sentiment is also from the Mug Life Set which speaks to me. Who are we kidding? The “A Cup of Get Shit Done” is truly where its at!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my very long post today. I had such a blast making this card. This set is really a must have if you or any of your friends adore coffee and appreciate some hilarious sentiments!

Thank you so much for joining me today!! Until next time…stay crafty!!

Laurie
