Hey crafty friends! It’s Marcie here to share with you my first project as part of the Ink Road Stamps team. My cardmaking go-to style is a clean and simple design. I love cards that grab your attention with color or sparkle, a fun medium, and a sentiment that pops. I am *pretty sure* I have captured all of that in my card today!
On a white watercolor paper panel I used my Zig markers create a neon rainbow. Once dry, I added some aqua paint splatters across the panel. I heat embossed the Art Supplies Background with gold embossing powder on watercolor paper and used Zig markers to watercolor them. Once I trimmed out the pieces I needed for my card, I adhered some of them with foam tape. *This is a GREAT way to stretch your supplies when cardmaking…just use the parts you need of a particular background stamp!*
For the sentiment I heat embossed the perfect Clairee quote from Magnolias in gold, watercolored over it, and popped it up with foam tape on the panel. The last step was to use MORE foam tape to pop up the panel on a white A2 card base. Foam tape is my favorite kind of adhesive…I think I use it on nearly every card!
So is this card just too colorful for words like Clairee from Steel Magnolias is? If you love the Art Supplies Background stamp, here are a few posts that also use it: Crafty Galentine’s Card, Colored Background Cards with Farhana, and Creative Mess- Traveler’s Notebook Spread.
I definitely live a life of color- my house is full of rainbows and bright accents all over. The stairs in my home are rainbow, my cardmaking studio is head to toe rainbow decor and I have never found a rainbow article of clothing that I could resist!
