With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I thought it would be fun to put some of the smaller images you find in the stamp sets to create a sweet Valentine’s Day card.
I know I used to be stumped as to what to do with the tiny images you find in stamp sets but recently I’ve had fun using them all up to create collage type images on cards, as they are just the perfect size to do this!
For today’s card I chose to use some little hearts and circles from the Full Circle stamp set, the Blended stamp set and a sentiment from the Call Me, Maybe stamp set to create this fun collage heart Valentine’s Day card.
I started by first using a negative die cut from a heart I had previously die cut, to create a mask on my card base so I knew where to stamp all my small images. I then began stamping the images onto my card base in the masked area using a variety of pink inks. Once I had filled the masked area as I liked I then removed the mask before stamping my sentiment onto a plain piece of cardstock and adhering it to my card base using adhesive foam.
To make the card pop a bit more, I then stamped the gemstone heart from the Blended stamp set directly onto some glitter cardstock using StazOn ink, before cutting it out and also adding it to my card base. Finally I embellished the card with some clear rhinestone hearts for a bit of extra bling.
I hope this card has inspired you to think about those tiny images in a whole new light, and put them to some good use! I know I’ll definitely be doing this again with some other IRS stamp sets.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
