Valentine’s Week #beforethepen
Hey y’all! Liz here again. I want to share how I decorated my MINI Happy Planner for the week of Valentine’s using all of the cute hearts in the Blended stamp set. I picked the color scheme from the edges of the planner pages themselves, so it would be more cohesive looking overall. This is also a great group of colors for Valentine’s, too. Since there is so much white space to the right of February, I thought it was the perfect place to to use the geometric hearts border and the tiny hearts border. Then using a different color on each of the border stamps, I added another border under Tuesday and one under Friday.
I wanted the C.S. Lewis quote to feel more balanced, so I layered two of the individual hearts in coordinating colors to the right of it. It really gives this little corner an added touch of sweetness.
Finally, I left the awesome big, geometric heart for last. I decided to make it more interesting by doing an ombré effect with three different ink colors. I then added a trimmed down flower bouquet sticker, layered a “love” sticker (it is Valentine’s Day after all), and added a sticker that says “I like long romantic walks to the fridge.” I added that quote because that pretty much sums up the easy going relationship that my husband and I have. So, it’s perfectly perfect for us. 🙂
Overall, this is a simple and sweet planner layout for this week. Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day!
