Are we all recovered from Christmas festivities?! Natalie here to let you know my trees are definitely still up, fir real, y’all. And today I’m bringing you a scrapbook layout documenting oh tannenbaum with the versatile Fir Real stamp set.
I love to use wood grain in my pages, and the holidays are a great time to combine some sparkle with wood grain for a festive look.
I made a background paper on white cardstock by stamping some of my favorite Firs in three different greens for an hombre effect. I rotated the stamp after each inking, and made sure to stamp some off the side of the page to look like a printed patterned paper.
I used one of my favorite embossing techniques by using a metallic gold embossing powder on vellum with different sentiments from the Fir Real set.
The trick to embossing on vellum is to heat the powder from the backside of the paper, so it doesn’t get too hot & curl the vellum.
I added glitter ribbon behind the wood grain paper with red and wood grain sequins for sparkle. I combined a wood grain alpha with a metallic alpha for the title to continue the rustic sparkle trend.
I used foam pop dots for the embossed sentiments to make them stand out
The Fir Real stamp set is super versatile, and you will definitely see me use it on non-holiday pages in the future! But I’m sure so many of us have lovely holiday photos from this season to document, so head over to the shop & grab a set!
