Hello! Samantha here! I’m back again after a short little break for some much needed ‘me time’! I thought it fitting to start my post for this month off with a rainbow and a little reminder – You’re Simply Craftastic!
This card is fairly simple – strips of card create the rainbow and the sentiment is from one of my FAVOURITE Ink Road Stamps – I Arted. What I really wanted to share with you though, is how I used Washi Tape to create my own paper which I then die cut the cloud from.
Simply adhere Washi Tape to white card stock – lining up each strip of tape as close as possible to the one stuck down before it. Voila’!! When you have the desired size of rainbow striped paper die cut the cloud (or anything else you might want rainbow coloured!). Note: Starlets are officially now my favourite Ink Road Stamps embellishment and I advocate making sure you have all the colours in your collections…
I don’t know why it took me 15 plus years of crafting to figure this simple technique out! Definitely inspired by the ‘prettyness’ of this rainbow washi tape with its brightness and gold elements that I really wanted to see it on a bigger scale. Hope you give this a try! Maybe with Ink Road Stamps new sentiment dies – I think that would be quite fun to have rainbow coloured extra cheeky sentiments!
