Hi y’all! Liz here sharing a few Christmas cards that are quick and easy to whip up. While I’m often crafting and playing in my planners, I actually love creating quick cards to send out to friends and family for the holidays. For this post I used both the Fir Real and Happy Holla Days stamp sets.
The backgrounds are really easy to make with any inexpensive set of watercolors. I used 140lb watercolor paper here because the better the quality of the paper you use with watercolors makes blending that much easier. Once dry, I used a white pigment ink to stamp my images which I then followed with a silver embossing powder on my ‘Tis the season to sleigh’ card and a copper embossing powder on my ‘warm winter nights’ card.
To finish my ‘Tis the season to sleigh’ card, I just adhered my watercolored and embossed card to a blank card with a glue runner. Then I added a few silver and blue sequins to jazz up the ‘sleigh’ factor! 😉
In creating ‘warm winter nights’, I wanted to create a card that I can send to some of my friends who celebrate Hanukkah. Just like my ‘Tis the season to sleigh’ card, I just adhered the watercolored and embossed card to a blank card back and followed it with a few copper-foiled washi tapes. Both cards took maybe 15-20 minutes each to complete which can be a godsend during the crazy, hectic holiday season. Thanks for stopping by!
